Lake Titicaca and Isla del Sol Trip

On this day trip to Lake Titicaca and the Isla del Sol, we'll discover one of the most iconic places in Bolivia and South America.

Description

At the time indicated, we'll meet at the bus station in La Paz. From here, we'll start our journey to Copacabana, a city on the shore of Lake Titicaca. Over 4 hours, we'll enjoy views of the Andean landscape.

Our first stop will be Copacabana Church, where we'll admire its colonial architecture and learn about its historical and cultural importance. Then, we'll explore the city's traditional markets to find souvenirs.

Next, you'll have an hour of free time to eat at a local restaurant, trying Bolivian cuisine, including fresh fish from Lake Titicaca and griller trout.

After lunch, we'll board a boat on Lake Titicaca, the highest lake in the world and one of the largest in South America. The boat will take us to the south part of the Isla del Sol, where we'll visit the Pilkokaina Palace to learn about the Incan civilization. We'll then continue to Yumani, where we'll find the Three Fountains of the Incans.

After our tour of the Isla del Sol, we'll return by boat to Copacabana and then take the bus back to La Paz, concluding this 14-hour day trip at the initial meeting point.
