Lake Titicaca and Isla del Sol Trip

On this day trip to Lake Titicaca and the Isla del Sol, we will explore one of the most iconic locations in Bolivia and South America.

Description

At the indicated time, we will meet at the bus station in La Paz. From here, we will travel to Copacabana, a city on the shore of Lake Titicaca, enjoying views of the Andean landscape for over 4 hours.

Our first stop will be the Copacabana Church, where we will learn about its historical and cultural significance. We will also explore the city's traditional markets to find typical products and handmade gifts.

Next, we will have an hour of free time to eat at a local restaurant, where you can try Bolivian cuisine, including fish from Lake Titicaca and griller trout.

After lunch, we will board a boat on Lake Titicaca, the highest lake in the world and one of the largest in South America. We will travel to the south part of the Isla del Sol to visit the Pilkokaina Palace, an Incan site. You will learn about the history and culture of this ancient civilization as you explore the palace's ruins. We will then continue to Yumani, where we will see the Three Fountains of the Incans, known for their curing properties.

After touring Isla del Sol, we will return by boat to Copacabana and then take the bus back to La Paz, concluding the day trip after a total of 14 hours at the meeting point.
