Lake Titicaca and La Luna Island Trip
We will pick you up in the morning from your hotel in La Paz. Afterwards, we board shared transport to travel through Bolivia's landscapes, arriving at Copacabana on Lake Titicaca's shores.
In Copacabana, we take a boat trip to Moon Island (Isla de la Luna), significant to the Inca civilization. Here, we will explore myths and legends associated with this area.
At the island, we will learn about current inhabitants and their daily lives, focusing on the role of women during pre-Columbian times. This includes hiking the Warmi Thakhi (Women's Path) and visiting the Iñac Uyu temple.
Before heading back to Copacabana, you will have time to interact with the local population and admire their handicrafts. We will discuss the evolution of the indigenous people of Lake Titicaca to the present day, all set against the backdrop of one of the largest and highest lakes in the world.
Finally, we will return to Copacabana via Lake Titicaca and then proceed back to La Paz.
