Lake Titicaca Catamaran & Sol Island Visit

At 6:30 am we will pick you up from your hotel in La Paz. We will drive to the sanctuary where the Basilica of Our Lady of Copacabana, an important pilgrimage site, is located.

From here, we will board the catamaran and start sailing on Lake Titicaca, known as the highest navigable lake in the world.

As we proceed to Sol Island, the lake's largest island and former seat of the Inca Empire, we will enjoy views of the lake. It is said that Viracocha, the Incan Sun God, was born here.

We will visit the gardens and the Inca Fountain before heading to the Inti Wata archaeological complex, a main attraction on Sol Island and Bolivia.

While here, you will also visit the Ekako underground museum and the island's traditional medicine and totora reed raft construction centers. We will explore the island's flora and fauna, including agricultural terraces and herds of Andean camelids near the Manco Capac viewpoint.

Before leaving Sol Island, we will take a boat ride on traditional totora reed rafts to see panoramic views of the Pilkokaina Palace. After the boat ride, we will return to the catamaran for a buffet lunch as we cruise through the lake. We will then reach the mainland and return you to your hotel by bus, with an estimated arrival time of 7 pm.

Finish in Puno

If preferred, you can choose to end the catamaran cruise in Puno. The route will remain the same, and after lunch, we will take you to Puno by bus.
