Lake Titicaca and Tiwanaku Trip
Pickup will be from your hotel in La Paz as we start our journey to the ruins of Tiwanaku.
Upon arrival, we will tour this ancient city, which includes seven important architectural constructions: Kalasasaya, the semi-subterranean temple, the Akapana pyramid, Kantantika, Kerikala, Putuni, and Puma Punku.
After a 2-hour journey, we will explore Tiwanaku, significant for the Inca Empire over 2,500 years ago. We will gain insight into the archaeological complex, an important symbol of Bolivia's identity.
During the tour, we will visit the Tiwanaku Museum and key sites, including the carved stone monoliths and the Sun Gate, a symbol of Bolivian identity.
Next, we will head to Huatajata, a village by Lake Titicaca, the second-largest lake in South America and the highest navigable lake in the world.
We will enjoy lunch with traditional dishes before visiting the Reed Rafts Museum to learn about traditional boatcrafts. The day concludes with a relaxing sail on the tranquil waters of Lake Titicaca.
After a full day exploring Bolivia's wonders, we will return to La Paz, arriving at your hotel about 9 hours later.
