Lake Titicaca and Tiwanaku Trip
We'll pick you up from your hotel in La Paz to begin our journey to the ruins of Tiwanaku.
Upon arrival, we will tour this ancient city, which includes seven significant architectural structures: Kalasasaya, the semi-subterranean temple, the Akapana pyramid, Kantantika, Kerikala, Putuni, and Puma Punku.
After a 2-hour journey, we will reach Tiwanaku, an important site for the Inca Empire over 2,500 years ago. We will explore the famous ruins of this archaeological complex, enhancing our understanding of Bolivia's identity.
During the tour, we will also visit the Tiwanaku Museum and key sites, including the carved stone monoliths and the Sun Gate, a symbol of Bolivian identity.
Next, we will proceed to Huatajata, a village along Lake Titicaca, recognized as South America's second-largest lake and the world's highest navigable lake.
After enjoying lunch with traditional dishes in this natural setting, we will visit the Reed Rafts Museum to learn about traditional boatcraft. The day concludes with a sail on the tranquil waters of Lake Titicaca.
After exploring the wonders of Bolivia, we'll return to La Paz, arriving at your hotel approximately 9 hours later.
