Uyuni & Death Road 5 Day Trip

On our 5-day trip from La Paz, you'll cycle along Death Road and visit the Uyuni Salt Flat and its surroundings, experiencing stunning views and local culture.

Description

Day 1: La Paz - Death Road - La Paz - Uyuni

Pickup from your hotel in La Paz will be between 7:30 am and 8 am. We'll travel to Death Road, cycling at La Cumbre (15,400 feet/4,700 meters). After the ride, we'll return to La Paz and continue our trip by bus to Uyuni overnight.

Day 2: Uyuni

Arriving in Uyuni at 7 am, we'll have breakfast before heading to the Uyuni Salt Flat via jeep. Our stops will include the train cemetery and Colchani salt iodization plant. We'll visit the Dakar monument and Playa Blanca salt hostel. We will conclude the day at Incahuasi Island to watch the sunset, followed by an overnight stay in a hostel in Uyuni.

Day 3: Uyuni - Huayllajara

After breakfast, we'll go to the Red Lagoon, passing lagoons and natural landmarks. Lunch will be at Paso del Inca. We arrive at the Red Lagoon by 4 pm, known for its flamingos, before spending the night in Huayllajara.

Day 4: Huayllajara - Salvador Dalí Desert - Uyuni - La Paz

Following breakfast, we'll visit Sol de Mañana to see volcanic activity, then the Eduardo Avaroa National Reserve with a stop at Chalviri Hot Springs. We will explore the Salvador Dalí Desert, viewpoints of Verde and Blanca lagoons, and Lincancabur Volcano before returning to Uyuni for the bus back to La Paz.

Day 5: La Paz

Arriving back in La Paz at 6:30 am after a night of travel.
