Palomino Islands Boat Trip

  • 3 - 4 Stunden
  • 9/10 | 15 Bewertungen

On this cruise around the Palomino Islands, we will explore the wildlife of the Peruvian capital, observing penguins, seabirds, and swimming with sea lions.

Boat Trip Details

We will meet at the Club Canottieri dock in Callao's La Punta Bay at the scheduled time. After providing life jackets, we will board the boat and set sail through the Peruvian Pacific toward the Palomino Islands.

Our journey will begin with views of San Lorenzo Island, the largest island in Peru, which hosts a naval base. We will then pass Frontón Island and observe the remnants of an old prison. Additionally, we will spot the Cavinas Islands, known for a variety of seabirds such as pelicans and blue-footed boobies, along with native birds like Peruvian gulls and Humboldt penguins.

The highlight of our tour will be the Palomino Islands, home to nearly 8,000 sea lions. We will spend 20-30 minutes swimming with these sea lions before heading back to the meeting point, concluding our tour approximately 3 to 4 hours after departure.

Animal Sightings

The Palomino Islands provide excellent opportunities to see sea lions, penguins, and other species; however, animal sightings can be unpredictable. Factors such as weather and animal breeding seasons may affect the visibility of different species.
