- 3 - 4 Stunden
- 17 Bewertungen
On this cruise around the Palomino Islands, we'll sail along the coast of Callao and spot a variety of wildlife including penguins and sea lions.
Boat Trip Details
We will meet at the Club Canottieri dock in Callao's La Punta Bay at the scheduled time. After providing life jackets, we will board the boat and set sail toward the Palomino Islands.
The journey will begin with a view of San Lorenzo Island, which hosts a naval base and is the largest island in Peru. Continuing, we will pass Frontón Island, home to remnants of an old prison, and Cavinzas Islands, a rich environment for seabirds like pelicans, blue-footed boobies, and red-legged cormorants. We will also see Peruvian gulls and Humboldt penguins.
The highlight of the tour will be the Palomino Islands, which are home to nearly 8,000 sea lions. We will spend 20-30 minutes swimming with the sea lions before returning to the meeting point, concluding the tour 3 to 4 hours after departure.
Animal Sightings
The Palomino Islands offer excellent opportunities to see sea lions, penguins, and other species. However, sightings cannot be guaranteed and are influenced by factors like weather and the animals' breeding seasons.
