If your cruise docks in La Spezia and you want to visit the cradle of the Renaissance, a day trip to Florence is recommended.

Upon disembarking at the cruise terminal in La Spezia, you will take the free shuttle bus to Largo Michelle Fiorillo. The bus will then transport you on a 2-hour journey to Florence. Once we arrive at Piazzale Montelungo, you will have 4.5 hours of free time to explore the historic center, which includes notable churches, markets, and art.

Key sites to visit are the Duomo with Brunelleschi's dome, Giotto's bell tower, Piazza della Signoria, Palazzo Vecchio, the San Lorenzo market, and the Ponte Vecchio. You can also sample local gastronomy, such as a typical panino al lampredotto from street vendors or bistecca alla fiorentina in a restaurant.

At the end of your visit, we will reconvene at the station to return to La Spezia, arriving at the cruise terminal 8 hours after the trip begins.
