Gulf of Fonseca 2-Day Tour

Day 1

At 12 pm, meet at 5A Avenida Norte in La Union to begin the tour of the Gulf of Fonseca. First, visit the protected area of the Conchagua volcano for panoramic views. Alternatively, upon booking, choose to visit Las Tunas beach.

Afterward, there will be a guided tour of the village of Conchagua, notable for its historic churches, followed by a visit to a local market to sample 'pupusas'.

Return to La Union for the night.

Day 2

After breakfast at the hotel, travel to the harbor to board a boat sailing the Pacific, ready to explore the islands of the Gulf of Fonseca.

First, stop at Meanguera Island for a half-hour tour to learn about its volcanic origin and its location at the convergence of El Salvador, Honduras, and Nicaragua.

Next, visit Zacatillo Island for two hours to enjoy local cuisine and scenery. The final stop will be Conejo Island before returning to La Unión.

End the tour at the starting point of the first day.
