Gulf of Fonseca 2-Day Tour

Day 1

At 12 pm, we'll meet at 5A Avenida Norte in La Unión to start the 2-day tour of the Gulf of Fonseca, recognized as one of the best natural harbors in the world.

We will first visit the protected area of the Conchagua volcano, offering panoramic views. Alternatively, when booking, you can choose to visit Las Tunas beach for a more relaxing experience.

Following this, a guided tour of the village of Conchagua will take place, including insights into some of the oldest churches in El Salvador and a visit to a local market, where you can taste 'pupusas'.

The day will conclude with a return to La Unión for the night.

Day 2

After breakfast at the hotel, we will head to the harbor to board our boat for an exploration of the islands of the Gulf of Fonseca.

The first stop will be Meanguera Island, where we will spend half an hour learning about its volcanic origin and its significance as the convergence point of El Salvador, Honduras, and Nicaragua.

Next, we will head to Zacatillo Island for a two-hour stop to enjoy its cuisine and scenery. The final stop will be Conejo Island, before returning to La Unión.

The tour will end at the same location as the first day.
