On this guided tour of Downtown Los Angeles, we'll discover the most famous places in the center of the city.
Description
At the indicated time, we'll meet in front of the Library Store to start this guided tour of downtown Los Angeles. Our first stop will be the Los Angeles Central Library, which houses over 2.8 million books and features art deco design. Next, we will visit the Millennium Biltmore Hotel, known as the birthplace of the Oscars and inspired by Italian-Renaissance architecture.
We will then take Angels Flight, the city's funicular railway, for spectacular views. Afterward, we will explore Grand Central Market, showcasing LA's culinary scene, and visit the Bradbury Building, renowned for its atrium and ornamental iron staircases and elevators.
Next, we will stop at The Last Bookstore, California's largest new and used bookshop, famous for its book tunnel. Our walk will continue through the historic Broadway Arcade, with visits to the Los Angeles Theater, Clifton's Tower, and the Apple Tower Theater Shop. The final destination is Hotel Per La, where we will learn about LA's history. The tour lasts 2.5 hours and concludes back at the meeting point.
