Melissani Lake and the Drogarati Caves await... Discover historic and natural sites on the Greek island of Kefalonia on this day trip from Zante.
Kefalonia Day Trip
At the indicated time, we'll pick you up from your hotel in Zakynthos and drive to the north of the island. We'll stop at the port of Skinari for a ferry to Argostoli, the capital of Kefalonia, lasting between 1 hour 30 minutes and 2 hours.
Upon arrival in Argostoli, we'll begin our tour of Kefalonia, visiting the Monastery of Agios Gerasimos, the island's patron saint, and viewing Mount Ainos.
Next, we'll visit the Drogarati Caves to admire stalactites and stalagmites, with mention of Maria Callas singing there. Afterward, we'll head to Melissani Lake, where a boat will take us across the lagoon to see the turquoise waters.
Following the boat cruise, we will stop in the village of Aghia Efimia for lunch at a local restaurant. We'll reconvene and make a photo stop at Myrtos Beach for views of the Ionian Sea.
Finally, we'll return to Argostoli and take the ferry back to Skinari. After docking in Zante, we will transport you back to your hotel, with an expected total duration of 11.5 hours from pickup.
