Feel the rush of adrenaline driving around Estancia Cristina at full speed in an off-roading vehicle. This tour also includes a boat ride on the Upsala glacier.
Activity Details
We'll gather at the Estancia Cristina pier and board off-road vehicles for a 4WD route through the stunning landscapes of El Calafate. Expect an adrenaline rush as we travel through the Feruglio mountain range. Subsequently, a 20-minute walk will take us to the Upsala Glacier viewpoint, where spectacular views await.
While at the viewpoint, we will discuss the geological features of Argentinean Patagonia and learn that Upsala is the third-largest ice sheet in the world.
We'll then break for a meal that includes two Argentinean empanadas, lamb casserole or pasta with pesto, and a flan. The menu provides wine or soda and coffee or tea.
After our meal, we will explore the main areas of Estancia Cristina to understand the local lifestyle, followed by a boat ride back to the pier. Our return to El Calafate will commence at 8 pm.
Pickup Info
When booking, choose the tour option with hotel pickup and drop-off. If not selected, you need to reach Estancia Cristina pier by 8:15 am. The return boat will drop off at the pier at 7 pm.
