Mirador Volcano Hiking Tour

On this hiking route through the Mirador volcano we'll discover the landscapes and volcanic lagoons of the Nilahue valley and the views from its summit.

Mirador Volcano Hiking Tour

We'll meet at 9 am at the Rincón del Colihual restaurant, from where you'll follow the guide in your own vehicle towards the Nilahue river valley.

After about an hour, we'll arrive at the parking area to start our hiking route. Following an introduction, we'll walk into a forest, listening to birdsong.

Shortly, we'll reach the forest's edge and view the Mirador volcano. First, we'll circle the volcano's base and then climb to the summit along the paths created by magma after the 1979 eruption.

During the hike, we'll stop at the viewpoints of the Carran and Pocura lagoons, admiring the craters on the volcano's surface. At the summit, you'll see a panoramic view of the Nilahue valley, its lagoons, and the Cordón Caulle mountain range.

We'll return by the same route and take our vehicle to visit the Ojos del Huishue, a set of waterfalls formed by the Riñinahue River.

Finally, we'll return to the starting point and finish the tour at approximately 4 pm.
