Options
Both options include pickup and drop-off at your hotel in La Rioja, transport in a 4x4, and an English-speaking guide. Details of each option are as follows:
8.5 hour tour
We'll depart La Rioja to the northern part of the province, starting at Quebrada de la Troya, known for its beautiful views and dinosaur footprints. After exploring this gorge, we proceed to Jagüé and then to Quebrada Santo Domingo, where we will view mountain refuges built between 1862 and 1874.
Next, we will visit the Brava Lagoon Provincial Reserve, an incredible saltwater lake near Chile. We will spot wildlife such as vicuñas, guanacos, flamingos, and Andean seagulls. We will enjoy views from the Brava Lagoon Viewpoint and visit the Gulf of Flamingos. Our tour includes a visit to the remains of an aeroplane that made an emergency landing in 1964.
We will conclude the tour after 8.5 hours, returning to the hotels.
10 hour tour
The 10-hour tour includes all activities from the previous option, plus a visit to the Brava Lagoon geysers, featuring ochre-coloured mounds and a strong sulfur smell.
