Embarking on this tour, we'll lead you through the grandeur of La Rioja's city center in Argentina, uncovering the precious historical remnants of Las Padercitas – an experience you don't want to miss!

Description

We'll pick you up at your La Rioja hotel at the designated time and set our course for the heart of the historic city.

Our first stop will be the 25 de Mayo Square, where the impressive facade of the Basilica-Cathedral of San Nicolás de Bari awaits. This saint holds significant devotion in La Rioja, particularly since 1894 when a powerful earthquake shook the city, leading to the reconstruction of the old Matriz church and the creation of the present-day temple in the early 20th century.

Continuing our exploration of La Rioja, we'll stand before the stately City Hall, surrounded by architecturally captivating structures. Throughout the tour, you'll witness the interplay of architecture and history, weaving a tapestry of enriching experiences.

As we conclude our journey through the historic center, we will visit Las Padercitas, a collection of adobe buildings dating back to 1630, embraced by an imposing stone wall. Among them stands a church where San Francisco Solano stopped a group of indigenous people from entering the city. The story behind this event will be shared with you.

Following our visit to Las Padercitas, we'll return to La Rioja, dropping you off at your hotel after a total of about three hours.
