Join us on this journey through Chilecito and Nanogasta, where we'll uncover the charm of the picturesque villages nestled in the Argentine province of La Rioja, along with the remarkable Cuesta de Miranda.

Your adventure begins with a pickup from your hotel in central La Rioja at the arranged time, setting off towards the enchanting villages that define the region.

Our first stop will be in Patquia, followed by a visit to Los Colorados, known for its captivating shades of red that adorn the mountains. Nearby, we will explore a cave associated with the famous Riojan figure Chacho Peñaloza, a strategic hideout used to trap foes. Continuing northward, we will arrive in Chilecito.

The exploration proceeds along the majestic Famatima range, featuring sights like Cuesta Las Talas, Santa Florentina, and the Río del Oro, including stations 1 and 2 of the Cable Rail, the remarkable structure once utilized to transport gold extracted from the local foothills. A visit to the La Mejicana mine and its museum will follow, where you will delve into the history of this gold, silver, and copper mine during the early 20th century.

Next, we'll journey to the village of Samay Huasi, home to the estate and museum of Dr. Joaquín Víctor Gonzáles, as well as the revered Cristo del Portezuelo statue, culminating with a tour of the La Riojana winery. Here, you'll have the opportunity to sample some of the finest Riojan wines, recognized with numerous international accolades.

After this, we will provide you with an hour of free time for relaxation and refreshments. Once we gather again, we will ascend the hills of Miranda to reach Mirador del Monolito. The effort will be rewarded with stunning panoramic views of the vibrant landscape.

Finally, we will return to La Rioja, concluding our excursion after approximately 11 hours of exploration as we drop you off at your hotel.
