Rioja Coast Villages Tour

Description

At the indicated time, we'll pick you up at your hotel in La Rioja before heading to the Riojan coast, an area without any actual coastline. The reason for this will be explained during our tour.

We'll first pass through Las Padercitas, Quebrada, and Túnel. We'll also see the Los Sauces dam and the town of Sanagasta, known for its low-lying houses and narrow roads, creating a unique landscape.

Our tour will then take us to the caves of Salamanca and Valle del Huaco. We will cross the homonymous slope, visiting picturesque villages at the foot of the Sierra del Velazsco, including Agua Blanca, Las Peñas, and Chuquis, where we will stop at Castro Barros' house museum.

Continuing along the coast of La Rioja, we will visit the towns of Pinchas, Aminga, and Anillaco, before returning to your hotel in La Rioja approximately 5 hours after pickup.

Depending on road conditions, we may return via the mountain road or past the Señor de La Peña, a large rock resembling the head of Christ, which attracts thousands of pilgrims during Holy Week.
