Talampaya & Ischigualasto Day Trip

On this excursion from La Rioja, we will explore unique landscapes in Ischigualasto and Talampaya, two notable parks in Argentina.

Description

The day begins with departure from La Rioja to Ischigualasto Park, known as Valley of the Moon Park. This park features remarkable landscapes with grey rock and water-eroded valleys, ideal for a walking tour and bus ride showcasing its highlights.

Over 4 hours, you will observe significant geological formations at Ischigualasto Park, including sites with names like the submarine, the worm, or the mushroom. Several stops will be made for optimal views of Valle Pintado and Cancha de Bochas, the latter noted for its round grey rocks. A picnic lunch is included, so please bring your picnic basket. Afterward, the tour will proceed to Talampaya National Park.

Upon arrival at Talampaya, a bus tour will commence, allowing you to appreciate the park's towering rock walls and learn about its geological history. After the tour, you will return via bus to La Rioja, arriving at your hotel by 8 pm.
