Teror, Roque Nublo & Bandama Caldera Excursion
Between 9:10 and 9:45 am, pick up from your preferred meeting point in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria occurs. Travel by minibus to the Bandama Caldera, where we'll stop at a viewpoint to enjoy views of this volcanic cone. Bandama Caldera is the island's youngest volcano, named after Daniel Van Damme, a Flemish settler from the 16th century.
After photos, we will visit San Mateo for a stroll through its old town. On Saturdays, the large flea market offers Canarian products. Next, we will journey to Pico de las Nieves for spectacular views. A viewpoint will provide impressive perspectives of Roque Nublo, an emblematic symbol of the island, accompanied by information on its formation.
We will then visit Cruz de Tejeda Parador, at over 1500 meters, where views of ravines and mountains abound. Samples of cheese, olives, and nuts will be available, along with one hour of free time to eat at Cruz de Tejeda.
The final stop will be in the village of Teror for a brief guided tour, home to the island's patron saint. At the end of the excursion, we'll return to your starting point, arriving between 4:45 pm and 5:15 pm.
