Salt flats, mountains, and arid dunes: discover one of the most impressive desert landscapes in the United States on this tour to Death Valley National Park from Las Vegas.
Death Valley Tour
Despite its name, Death Valley is a notable location in the Mojave Desert, recognized for its extreme summer heat and as the lowest elevation in North America. Pickup from hotels in Las Vegas occurs between 5:45 and 6:30 am, followed by a 1.5-hour drive to Death Valley National Park, situated on the Nevada-California border.
The tour includes several stops at key sites: Rest Stop Area 51, a quirky souvenir shop; Death Valley Nut & Candy Co; Rhyolite Ghost Town; and Hell's Gate, the park's entrance. By around 10:30 am, we will reach the Mesquite Sand Dunes for a mid-morning American-style breakfast, then continue to major attractions such as Badwater Basin, the lowest point on land at 86m (282 feet) below sea level, and Zabriskie Point, offering scenic views of the unique landscape.
The tour showcases the diverse features of the valley including mountains, valleys, sand dunes, canyons, and mineral-formed hills. The final stop before returning to Las Vegas is in the town of Pahrump for a rest break. Return to hotels in Las Vegas is expected around 4:15 pm.
