Hoover Dam Half-Day Trip

On the Colorado River, on the border between Nevada and Arizona, you'll find one of the world's largest dams. Join us on this tour to the Hoover Dam and be amazed by this megastructure.

Description

At the indicated time, we'll pick you up at your chosen meeting point in Las Vegas and drive to Boulder City to visit the Hoover Dam. The minibus ride will take approximately 45 minutes.

During the tour, we'll learn about Boulder City's role in the construction of the Hoover Dam, making brief photo stops at viewpoints, such as the Mike O'Callaghan-Pat Tillman Bridge. View the Colorado River and Black Canyon from approximately 984.2 feet (300 meters) above sea level.

We'll also visit the Lake Mead visitor center to explore the history of the Hoover Dam, named after US President Herbert Hoover, built in the 1930s during the Great Depression. The dam was designed to prevent flooding and provide hydroelectric power and irrigation water.

The dam supplies electricity to almost a million people in Nevada, Arizona, and part of California. After a five-hour tour, we will conclude and return you to the starting point.

Boat Trip around the Hoover Dam
