Hoover Dam Half-Day Trip

On the Colorado River, on the border between Nevada and Arizona, you'll find one of the world's largest dams. Join us on this tour to the Hoover Dam and be amazed by this titanic megastructure.

Description

At the indicated time, we'll pick you up at the meeting point of your choice in Las Vegas and drive to Boulder City to approach the famous Hoover Dam. The minibus ride will take approximately 45 minutes.

We'll learn about Boulder City's role in the construction of the Hoover Dam and make brief photo stops at various viewpoints, including the Mike O'Callaghan-Pat Tillman Bridge. We'll see the Colorado River and Black Canyon from a vantage point almost 984.2 feet (300 meters) above sea level.

Additionally, we'll visit the Lake Mead visitor center to uncover the history of the Hoover Dam, which was constructed in the 1930s during the Great Depression. We will learn about the construction process, the dam's purpose to prevent flooding, and its provision of hydroelectric power and irrigation water.

You'll understand the dam's energy significance, providing electricity to nearly a million people in Nevada, Arizona, and part of California.

After a five-hour tour, we'll conclude and return you to the starting point.

Select this ticket option for an in-depth experience at the Hoover Dam. In addition to the outer tour, we'll access the interior of the dam to view the turbines and generator room, along with the Visitor Center and its historical exhibits.

Boat Trip around the Hoover Dam

If you choose this option, we'll take a boat trip on the waters of the Hoover Dam. Note that this option exclusively includes the boat trip view of the Hoover Dam and does not cover other portions of the itinerary.
