On this day trip to Interlaken, experience one of Switzerland's most beautiful cities and enjoy a funicular ride up to the Harder Kulm lookout point for a perfect view of the Bernese Alps!

Interlaken + Harder Kulm Day Trip

Meet us in front of the Lausanne Aquatis Vennes Aquarium, then head toward the Canton of Bern region.

After a brief 2-hour journey, arrive at the Harderbahn station along the banks of the Aar River. Here, you will receive tickets to ride the funicular railway to the Harder Kulm lookout point station. In just 10 minutes, you will reach 1,322 meters (4,337 feet) above sea level.

From this vantage point, enjoy spectacular panoramic views of the Bernese Alps, Interlaken, and the two lakes bordering the city: Brienzersee and Thunersee.

After taking in the views, return via the funicular. Once at the bottom, we will pick you up and head to the historic downtown area of Interlaken, where you will have the rest of the day free to explore and sample traditional flavors.

Recommendations include the commercial streets for Helvetic products such as pocket knives and cuckoo clocks. For meals, consider visiting local chocolate shops or restaurants for traditional fondue.

Finally, we will pick you up from downtown Interlaken for the return trip to Lausanne, arriving about 12 hours later.
