Enjoy a night experiencing Mexican tradition and culture under a blanket of stars on the island of Holbox with this Maya full moon ceremony.
Maya Full Moon Ceremony
At 8 pm, we'll meet at the indicated starting point in Holbox and proceed to the beach for the Maya Full Moon Ceremony. The shaman will greet us and explain the steps of the ritual.
The Maya people referred to the moon as Ixchel, and our spiritual guide will share its significance in their beliefs as the goddess of love, gestation, medicine, and textile work.
Illuminated by torches and accompanied by rhythmic music, the shaman will facilitate a connection with the moon, sea, and nature, guiding an inner journey towards spirituality.
After the ritual, the activity will conclude with a kayak trip on the tranquil waters of Holbox island, appreciating the beauty of the Mexican Caribbean under the starry sky.
At 10 pm, we will return to the meeting point.
