Mont Saint Michel Abbey Ticket

Mont Saint Michel Abbey is a prominent Gothic church situated on a tidal island at the mouth of the Couesnon River in Normandy. It has been a sacred site for over a thousand years.

Ticket Details

Your ticket allows for self-guided exploration of the abbey. You can appreciate the combination of Romanesque and Gothic architecture, with parts built atop each other since the 10th century. Additionally, the abbey includes the “Marveille” complex, featuring the monks’ living quarters, built during the 12th century under Abbot Robert de Torigni, along with the cloister and refectory.

Exploring the lower levels reveals crypts and the Saint Martin Chapel. Visitors can also attend regular masses for pilgrims held in the church, depending on the timing of their visit.

May 1 to August 31: 9 am to 7 pmSeptember 1 to April 30: 9:30 am to 6 pm

Final admission is 1.5 hours prior to closing. Please note that hours may change.

Ticket Validity

In high visitor periods, the monument may close early. It is advisable to arrive early, around 10 am in high season and 10:30 am in low season. For time-slot entries, tickets are valid as follows:

Free admission is available for:

Young people aged 18 to 25 from the EU.Children under 18, regardless of nationality.

Free entry is also granted on the first Sunday of each month from January to March and November to December, and during the 3rd weekend of September. Free ticket holders must obtain a ticket at the site’s ticket office with an eligible document.
