Mont-Saint-Michel Abbey is a significant Gothic church located on a tidal island at the mouth of the Couesnon River in Normandy. This site has been a place of reverence for over a thousand years.
Ticket Details
Your ticket permits exploration of the abbey at your own pace, showcasing a mix of Romanesque and Gothic architecture developed since the establishment of the pre-Romanesque church-abbey in the 10th century. The abbey includes the historic church, rediscovered in the late 19th century, and the "Marveille", where monks resided, featuring the 12th-century buildings, cloister, and refectory.
Additionally, visitors can investigate the lower levels, where the crypts and the Saint Martin Chapel are located. You may also have a chance to attend regular masses for pilgrims in the church depending on your visit date.

The Mont-Saint-Michel Abbey operates during the following hours:
May 1 to August 31: 9 am to 7 pmSeptember 1 to April 30: 9:30 am to 6 pm
Final admission is 1 hour before closing. Note that these hours may change.
Special Opening Times
On December 24 and 31, 2025, the abbey will close at 4 pm.

Free Admission
Free admission is available for:
EU residents aged 18 to 25.Children under 18, regardless of nationality.
Admission is also free on the first Sunday of the month from January 1 to March 31 and November 1 to December 31, as well as during the 3rd weekend of September. To obtain free admission, you must present a certifying document at the ticket office.
