Le Morne Brabant Trekking Tour

Your journey begins with a pickup from your hotel situated on the Le Morne Brabant peninsula, which lies at the southwestern edge of Mauritius.

We will travel in a 4x4 vehicle to the northeastern slope of the mountain that lends its name to the peninsula. Here, we will begin our trekking experience through Le Morne Brabant. This hike will span approximately 5.6 kilometers and will take around 3 to 4 hours, depending on the pace of the group. Throughout the adventure, we will encounter various scenic spots that highlight the beauty of this designated UNESCO World Heritage Site.

In the initial section of our trek, we will ascend 200 meters to witness the sunrise over Le Morne bay. The vibrant hues of dawn paint this part of Mauritius in vivid oranges and reds, creating a breathtaking scene that will remain in your memory! After soaking in the morning view over the Indian Ocean, we will continue our ascent towards the summit of Le Morne Brabant.

Standing at 465 meters, the peak of the mountain provides a tranquil 45-minute pause to enjoy the panoramic views. From this elevated vantage point, the verdant valleys at the base and the stunning Benitiers and Fourneau islands nearby can be fully appreciated.

As we begin our descent, we will return to the base of the mountain and then head back by 4x4 to our original meeting point, arriving between 9 am and 10 am.

The tour includes a pickup at 5:40 am from accommodations on the Le Morne Brabant peninsula. For guests staying in other areas of Mauritius, we will convene at 6 am on Route Cotiere road in Le Morne Brabant.
