Description
Provence has three Cistercian abbeys, with Le Thoronet being notable and located near the town of the same name. With this ticket, you can explore the medieval monastery established by the Order of Cistercians in the 12th century for spiritual retreat and scripture study.
Key areas to visit include The Cloister at the center of the priory, the lavabo washing fountain, and the monks' dormitory. You will also see the Abbey Church, refectory, sacristy, chapter house, and armariums where liturgical books were kept.
Opening times
Le Thoronet Abbey is open Monday to Sunday:
October 1 - March 31: 10 am to 1 pm and 2 pm to 5 pmApril 1 - September 30: 10 am to 6:30 pm
On December 24 and 31, it closes at 3:30 pm. Note that the last entry is 45 minutes before closing time. These times are flexible and subject to change.

Admission to Le Thoronet Abbey is free for:
EU citizens aged 18 to 25.Children under 18, regardless of nationality.
Admission is also free on the first Sunday of the month from January to March and November to December, and during the third weekend of September. To receive free admission, visit the site’s ticket office with a valid document.
