We will begin our walking tour of Lecce at the designated meeting point in the Piazza Sant'Oronzo. This captivating city, often referred to as the Florence of the South, sets the stage for an unforgettable experience.
As we wander through the historic core of Lecce, you will be transported back to the time of the Roman Empire. Here, you can view the remarkable remnants of the theatre and amphitheatre, both of which date back to the 2nd century AD.
Our journey will also lead us to the impressive façade of the Castle of Charles V, constructed in 1539. We will uncover Lecce's historical ties to the Spanish Crown while passing by Renaissance structures like the Vernazza Palace. The city boasts numerous churches adorned with exquisite Baroque details.
