Why Visit the Casa Botines?
Located in the Plaza de San Marcelo in León’s historic center, Casa Botines is a modernist building that houses a museum dedicated to Antonio Gaudí. Known for his masterpieces like the Sagrada Familia in Barcelona, this building in León is one of his few works outside of Catalonia.
Your ticket includes an audio guide, providing an in-depth look at the building's history. The tour starts on the main floor, detailing its past and featuring recreations of businesses that once occupied the space. In 1893, it housed a fabric store, and from 1931, it served as a bank office.
The audio tour concludes on the second floor, where you'll find a recreation of a 19th-century home designed by Gaudí and the interactive exhibition Gaudí, the Architect of Dreams, allowing you to explore other architectural works by Gaudí.
