León Food Tour + Shoe Factory Visit

Description

At the time indicated, we'll meet at Avenida del Tecnológico 308, where we'll start a very special tour around León.

Firstly, we'll visit a shoe factory to learn about the process of making shoes and the tradition and quality of the shoe industry in León. You'll observe some shoes being made.

After the factory tour, we'll head to the centre of León to see its main monuments, including the Arco de la Calzada, a symbol marking the entrance to the historic centre. Remember to bring your camera.

Next, we will visit the Templo Expiatorio, a neogothic church known for its impressive facade. Following this, we'll explore the San Juan de Dios neighbourhood, known for its cobbled streets and colorful colonial houses, featuring artisanal shops and galleries.

Now it's time for the food portion of the tour. We'll visit a bar famous for its guacamayas, a traditional León dish of bread rolls filled with pulled meat, sauce, and avocado.

To accompany the guacamaya, we'll enjoy a local drink called cebadina, made from fruit and herbs. Finally, we'll conclude our food tour at an ice-cream parlour to try the variety of ice-creams offered in León.

After 4 hours, we'll end this tour in the San Juan de Dios neighbourhood.
