Sierra de Lobos Hiking Tour

Description

This hiking tour through the Sierra de Lobos begins at the designated location on Boulevard Adolfo Lopez Mateos in Leon. The Sierra de Lobos Natural Protected Area, located about 50 minutes from the city, is notable for its oak forests, grasslands, and scenic landscapes, including the Lajas River Canyon and Los Panales.

Once we arrive, we will start walking through the grasslands, exploring the mountain slopes and learning about the area's rich biodiversity. A guide will provide information about the flora and fauna encountered during the hike.

A break will be taken along the Lajas River to enjoy breakfast featuring homemade gorditas, traditional Mexican treats filled with various savory ingredients.

The hike continues to discover natural pools and delve into the canyon to view the stone monoliths known as Los Panales. The final part of the excursion includes ascending to one of the viewpoints for exceptional views of the Sierra de Lobos.

After five hours of adventure, we will return to the starting point and head back to Leon, concluding the tour.
