We'll kick off this hiking journey through the Sierra de Lobos by meeting at the designated location on Boulevard Adolfo Lopez Mateos in Leon.

Situated approximately 50 minutes from the city, the Sierra de Lobos Natural Protected Area is an ideal location to immerse yourself in Guanajuato's natural beauty. This area is known for its oak forests, grasslands, and scenic landscapes, including the Lajas River Canyon and Los Panales.

Upon arrival, we'll set off on foot, venturing through the grasslands of Sierra de Lobos. This route offers an opportunity to explore the mountain slopes and gain insights into its biological diversity. Your guide will provide information about the area's flora and fauna.

We'll enjoy a break along the Lajas River, indulging in a breakfast of homemade gorditas. These traditional Mexican delights are made from corn or wheat dough, filled with various savory ingredients.

Continuing our hike, we'll uncover the river's natural pools and venture into the canyon's depths to behold the immense stone monoliths known as Los Panales.
