We'll kick off this hiking journey through the Sierra de Lobos by meeting at the designated location on Boulevard Adolfo Lopez Mateos in Leon.

Approximately 50 minutes from the city, the Sierra de Lobos Natural Protected Area is an ideal location for experiencing Guanajuato's natural beauty. This area features oak forests, grasslands, and scenic landscapes, including the Lajas River Canyon and Los Panales.

Upon arrival, we'll set off on foot through the grasslands of Sierra de Lobos. This route provides an opportunity to explore mountain slopes and learn about its biological diversity with insights from your guide.

A break along the Lajas River will include a breakfast of homemade gorditas, traditional Mexican delights made from corn or wheat dough with various savory fillings.

Continuing our hike, we'll discover the river's natural pools and explore the canyon's depths to see the impressive stone monoliths known as Los Panales.
