Do you want to get to know the capital of Las Garrigas region? On this guided tour of Borjas Blancas, you'll discover its history, admire monuments, and enjoy a curated olive oil tasting!
Description
This guided tour begins at Plaza Ramón Arqués before exploring Borjas Blancas.
The first stop will be the exterior chapel wall of a medieval hospital, followed by a visit to Plaza 1 de Octubre, the original location of the old Town Hall.
Next, we'll stroll through Terrall Park and arrive at Espai Macià, an interpretative center that provides insight into a significant political figure in Catalunya's history.
After learning about Francesc Macià, we'll visit the Cal Gineret Olive Oil Mill, which served as a shelter during the Spanish Civil War. The tour will cover life conditions during the bombings between 1938 and 1939 in this historic building completed in the late 19th century.
Before concluding the mill visit, we'll sample a curated selection of olive oils produced on-site.
This one-and-a-half-hour tour of Borjas Blancas will conclude back at the starting point.
