South-West Martinique Tour: Les Trois Îlets, Les Anses d'Arlet & Le Diamant
At 9 am, we'll meet in front of the Bambou Hotel, where a minibus will be waiting to take us on a panoramic tour of the bay of Les Trois Îlets. Along the way, we'll see pottery workshops, sugar cane plantations and colonial houses.
During the tour, we'll make several stops to take photos and taste some typical products of Martinique. In total, we'll taste six different local drinks accompanied by snacks.
We'll continue south to explore the region of Les Anses d'Arlet. The minibus will take us to a small fishing village where we will stroll around the port and visit the Church of Saint-Henri, a 17th-century church listed as a historical monument.
Next, we will head to Le Diamant to visit a famous viewpoint and admire the view of the Diamond Rock, an uninhabited volcanic islet. We will learn about its role in Martinique's military history and visit the nearby Cap 110 Memorial, commemorating the 150th anniversary of the abolition of slavery in Martinique.
The tour will conclude at a cocoa plantation, where we will learn about cocoa production and have the opportunity to taste some exquisite chocolate.
We will finish the tour at 12:30 pm back at the meeting point.
