South-West Martinique Tour: Les Trois Îlets, Les Anses d'Arlet & Le Diamant
At 9 am, we'll meet in front of the Bambou Hotel for a panoramic tour of the bay of Les Trois Îlets. The minibus will take us through the area, where we'll see pottery workshops, sugar cane plantations, and colonial houses.
During the tour, we'll have several stops for photos and taste some typical products of Martinique. Participants will enjoy six different local drinks and snacks.
We will visit the region of Les Anses d'Arlet, stopping at a small fishing village for scenic views. A stroll around the port will include a visit to the Church of Saint-Henri, a small 17th-century historical monument.
Next, we will go to Le Diamant to admire a famous viewpoint of the Diamond Rock, an uninhabited volcanic islet significant in Martinique's military history. We will also stop at the Cap 110 Memorial, honoring the 150th anniversary of the abolition of slavery in Martinique.
Finally, we will visit a cocoa plantation to learn about cocoa production on the island and have the opportunity to taste some exquisite chocolate.
The tour will conclude at 12:30 pm back at the meeting point.
