Sail along the Amazon and Yavari Rivers on a trip to the borders of Colombia, Peru, and Brazil and visit three countries in one day.
Amazon Three Borders Trip
We will start the trip from the Colombian city of Leticia, with pickup at 7:30 am at Carrera 11. A vehicle will take us to the Amazon for an exciting boat ride. We will explore the point where Peru, Colombia, and Brazil meet in the Amazon.
Our first stops will be the villages of Benjamin and Islandia, the latter often referred to as the 'Peruvian Venice'.
Next, we will sail down the Yavari River for 25 minutes to the Sacambu Reserve. Here, we will go piranha fishing and observe locals engaged in the same activity. We will also visit a unique lagoon for a dip in both hot and cold waters.
In the Sacambu Reserve, a traditional Peruvian lunch will be provided. Afterward, we will look for macaws, toucans, and monkeys, so have your cameras ready.
Finally, we will return to Leticia, concluding the tour at 5 pm.
