Explore the wildest and most rugged part of Colombia with our Colombian Amazon Villages 4-Day Tour. We'll take you to the rural villages of Puerto Nariño and Mocagua with an English-speaking guide.
4-Day Tour
Day 1
We'll meet at the boardwalk of Leticia at the scheduled time and begin our 4-day adventure through one of Colombia's densest jungles. We'll board a boat and follow the Amazon River until we reach Puerto Nariño. There, we'll take a guided tour through the town, including its landscapes and architecture. After dinner at the hotel, we will explore the Puerto Nariño jungle at night, returning to the hotel for rest.
Day 2
Our second day will commence with a canoe ride to the Peruvian Cacao Island. We will learn about the Amazon's trees and may spot a sloth. After lunch, we will enjoy a boat ride on the Loretoyacu River to observe its biodiversity, including Piracu fish, crocodiles, piranhas, anacondas, and river dolphins. We will embark on a nocturnal expedition in search of black caimans, followed by dinner and an overnight stay in a cabin on Lake Tarapoto's banks.
Day 3
On the third day, after breakfast, we'll float down the Amazon River for 2 hours to Mocagua, where we'll learn about the ancestral traditions of Amazonian tribes. We will share a traditional lunch and visit the Mocagua Monkey Sanctuary, an animal recovery center for primates. Our day ends with a night in a hotel in Mocagua.
Day 4
The last day will be spent traveling back to Leticia. After breakfast in Mocagua, we'll depart at 7 am or 10 am, concluding the tour at the initial meeting point in Leticia.
