Colombian Amazon Villages 4 Day Tour

  • 4 Tage

Explore the wildest and most rugged part of Colombia with our Colombian Amazon Villages 4-Day Tour. We'll take you to the rural villages of Puerto Nariño and Mocagua with an English-speaking guide.

Description

Day 1

We'll meet at the boardwalk of Leticia and begin our 4-day adventure through one of Colombia's densest jungles. We'll board a boat and follow the Amazon river to Puerto Nariño. In Puerto Nariño, we'll take a guided tour of the town, exploring its landscapes, traditional architecture, and way of life. After dinner at the hotel, we'll venture into the jungle with rubber boots and headlamps for a night exploration.

Day 2

Day two begins with a canoe ride to Peruvian Cacao Island. During the trip, we'll learn about Amazonian trees. After lunch, we'll enjoy a boat ride on the Loretoyacu River to observe its biodiversity, including Piracu fish, crocodiles, piranhas, anacondas, and river dolphins. A nocturnal expedition will follow to seek black caimans. Dinner will be served, followed by an overnight stay in a cabin on the banks of Lake Tarapoto.

Day 3

After breakfast, we'll float down the Amazon River for 2 hours to Mocagua, where we'll learn about the ancestral traditions of Amazonian tribes. A traditional lunch and a visit to the Mocagua Monkey Sanctuary will follow. Here, you'll see primates rescued from illegal trafficking. The day concludes with an overnight stay at the hotel in Mocagua.

Day 4

On the final day, we will travel back to Leticia. After breakfast in Mocagua, we'll start our journey at 7 am or 10 am, returning to Leticia to conclude our tour at the initial meeting point.
