Tour Details

Day 1

After meeting at the boardwalk of Leticia, we'll board a boat to Puerto Nariño. The journey down the Amazon River takes 2 hours. Upon arrival, we'll explore the village and discuss the Ticuna, Cocama, and Yagua tribes. In the evening, a nocturnal expedition through the jungles of Puerto Nariño will take place to discover exotic insects and amphibians. Overnight accommodation follows.

Day 2

We'll have breakfast and visit Maloka Tikuna to learn about the community's ancestral rites. Participation in a workshop with local games and natural paints is included. After lunch, we will enjoy a boat trip on the Loretoyacu River, discussing the area's wildlife before watching a sunset and spotting black caimans. Dinner will conclude the day before returning to accommodation.

Day 3

The day begins with views of the Lake Tarapoto wetlands, followed by breakfast. After returning to Puerto Nariño, we will cross the jungle via wooden bridges. After 3 hours, we will reach the indigenous community of San Martin de Amacayacu, with lunch and community visits planned. Overnight accommodation will be in the community.

Day 4

Following breakfast, we'll take a canoe ride through Amacayacu National Park to Mocagua. The visit includes learning more about local traditions after lunch and a visit to the Mocagua monkey sanctuary to interact with rescued primates. Return to accommodation in Puerto Nariño will be in the evening.

Day 5

The final day involves returning to Leticia. After breakfast in Mocagua, we depart at 7 am for a 90-minute journey, concluding at the initial meeting point.
