Tour Details

Day 1

Meet at the boardwalk of Leticia to board a boat to Puerto Nariño. Enjoy a 2-hour cruise down the Amazon River, exploring the village and discussing the Ticuna, Cocama and Yagua tribes. In the evening, participate in a nocturnal expedition in the jungles of Puerto Nariño to observe exotic insects and amphibians before returning to the hotel.

Day 2

After breakfast, visit Maloka Tikuna to learn about the local community's ancestral rites and customs. Participate in a workshop with local games and natural paints. Following a traditional lunch, enjoy a boat trip on the Loretoyacu River to learn about local wildlife. Watch the sunset over the river and look for black caimans. End the day with dinner and return to the hotel.

Day 3

Start with views of the Lake Tarapoto wetlands. After breakfast, return to Puerto Nariño and cross the jungle trail. Arrive at the indigenous community of San Martin de Amacayacu after a 3-hour journey, enjoy lunch, and learn about the local way of life. Spend the night in the community hotel.

Day 4

After breakfast, take a canoe ride through Amacayacu National Park to Mocagua. Learn about Amazonian traditions, and after lunch, visit the monkey sanctuary to feed rescued primates. Return to the hotel in Puerto Nariño at the end of the day.

Day 5

On the last day, return to Leticia. After breakfast in Mocagua, depart at 7 am for a 90-minute journey back to the initial meeting point.
