Puerto Narino Trip

  • 10 Stunden

Embark on an exciting journey through the Amazon with this trip to Puerto Narino, a town that has maintained its indigenous roots.

Description

We'll meet at the designated time at the Leticia Boardwalk. From here, we'll board a boat that will take us up the Amazon River towards Puerto Nariño, a town steeped in history and tradition.

Upon arrival, we will explore the Colombian municipality with a local guide. Most inhabitants of Puerto Nariño belong to indigenous ethnic groups, and we will discover their culture as we walk through the streets, green meadows, and alongside the Loretoyacu River.

During the visit, we will discuss the customs and traditions of the Ticuna, Cocama, and Yagua ethnic groups. This town is recognized as "Colombia's natural crib."

We will enjoy a typical lunch in Puerto Nariño before setting sail on a canoe down the Loretoyacu River, noted for its wetlands and biodiversity. The waters are home to crocodiles, piranhas, anacondas, piracucu fish, and river dolphins.

Finally, we will return to the boat and head back to Leticia, concluding the tour at the starting point.
