Embark on an exciting journey through the Amazon with this trip to Puerto Narino, a beautiful town that has maintained its indigenous roots.
Description
We'll meet at the Leticia Boardwalk at the designated time to board a boat heading up the Amazon River to Puerto Nariño. Upon arrival, we will explore this Colombian municipality with a local guide. The majority of Puerto Nariño's inhabitants belong to indigenous ethnic groups, and we will learn about their history while walking through the town, green meadows, and along the Loretoyacu River.
During the visit, we will discuss the customs and traditions of the Ticuna, Cocama, and Yagua ethnic groups, the main demographics in this section of the Amazon. We'll see why Puerto Nariño is referred to as "Colombia's natural crib."
After the exploration, we will enjoy a typical lunch in Puerto Nariño. We will then set sail on a canoe down the Loretoyacu River, known globally for its exceptional biodiversity. The waters are inhabited by various species, including crocodiles, piranhas, anacondas, piracucu fish, and river dolphins.
Finally, we will return to the boat and head back to Leticia, concluding the tour at the starting point.
