Embark on an exciting journey through the Amazon with this trip to Puerto Narino, a town that has maintained its indigenous roots.
Description
We'll meet at the Leticia Boardwalk to board a boat heading up the Amazon River towards Puerto Nariño, a town rich in history and tradition.
Upon arrival, we'll explore Puerto Nariño with a local guide, learning that many inhabitants belong to indigenous ethnic groups. Our exploration will cover the town's quaint streets, green meadows, and paths alongside the Loretoyacu River.
During the visit, we will discuss the customs and traditions of the Ticuna, Cocama, and Yagua ethnic groups, the predominant residents. This town is known as "Colombia's natural crib."
We'll enjoy a typical lunch in Puerto Nariño before embarking on a canoe ride down the Loretoyacu River, notable for its wetlands and rich biodiversity. The river's dark waters are home to crocodiles, piranhas, anacondas, piracucu fish, and river dolphins.
Finally, we will return to the boat and head back to Leticia, concluding the tour at our starting point.
