Puerto Narino Trip
- 10 Stunden
Embark on an exciting journey through the Amazon with this trip to Puerto Narino, a beautiful town that has maintained its indigenous roots.
Description
We'll meet at the designated time at the Leticia Boardwalk. From here, we'll board a boat that takes us up the Amazon River towards Puerto Nariño, a town rich in history and tradition.
Upon arrival, we'll explore this Colombian municipality with a local guide, learning about its predominantly indigenous ethnic groups. We’ll discover the pretty streets, green meadows, and paths alongside the Loretoyacu River.
During our visit, discussions will focus on the customs and traditions of the Ticuna, Cocama, and Yagua ethnic groups, main inhabitants of this region. You'll understand why this town is referred to as "Colombia's natural crib."
Following our exploration, we will have a typical lunch in Puerto Nariño. After lunch, we’ll set sail on a canoe down the Loretoyacu River, which is known for its vast wetlands and great biodiversity. The waters host crocodiles, piranhas, anacondas, piracucu fish, and river dolphins.
We will return to the boat and head back to Leticia, concluding the tour at our starting point.
