Description

Day 1: Lhasa

Pickup at Lhasa Airport or the central train station, followed by transfer to your hotel in Lhasa. Rest or begin exploring.

Day 2: Lhasa

Visit Potala Palace and Jokhang Temple, home to the sacred Sakyamuni statue. Stroll through Bakhor district and experience local shopping. A welcome dinner concludes the day.

Day 3: Lhasa

After breakfast, travel to Dadong to visit Nyimatang Monastery and engage with a local family. Afternoon at Sera Monastery to witness debates among monks.

Day 4: Lhasa - Gyantse - Shigatse

Depart Lhasa after breakfast, passing Yamdrok Lake. Explore Palcho Monastery in Gyantse before arriving at your hotel in Shigatse.

Day 5: Shigatse - Everest Base Camp

Visit Tashilunpo Monastery and enjoy lunch in Lhatse. Continue drive to Everest Base Camp, hiking to a lodge at 5,200 meters (17,060 feet).

Day 6: Everest Base Camp - Shigatse

Early start for sunrise over Mount Everest. Visit Rongbuk Monastery and return to Shigatse.

Day 7: Shigatse - Lhasa

Return to Lhasa, driving through Yalong Valley. Arrive at hotel in the afternoon.

Day 8: Lhasa

After breakfast, transfer back to the airport or train station.
