6-day Tour of Northern Peru

Explore the landscapes, towns, and archaeological sites of northern Peru on this 6-day tour beginning in Lima and concluding in Chiclayo.

6-Day Tour Details

Day 1: Lima

Upon your arrival in Peru, you will be greeted at the Lima airport and taken to your hotel. The remainder of the day is free for independent exploration of the city.

Day 2: Lima

Breakfast at the hotel will precede a guided tour of Lima, visiting the Plaza Mayor, Cathedral, Casa Aliaga, and the Larco Museum to explore over 5,000 years of history. The day concludes with a return to the hotel.

Day 3: Lima – Trujillo

After breakfast, you will travel to the airport for your own flight to Trujillo, arriving within an hour. Upon arrival, you will be picked up and taken to your hotel. The afternoon is free.

Day 4: Trujillo – Huacas del Sol & de la Luna – Chan Chan – Trujillo

Following breakfast, a tour of Trujillo will include the Plaza de Armas, the Cathedral, various convents, and the Superior Court of Justice. We will also visit the University and Museum of Archaeology, Anthropology, and History. Next, we will explore the Huacas del Sol and de la Luna archaeological site, learning about the Moche culture. We will stop for lunch and visit Huanchaco and Chan Chan before returning to the hotel.

Day 5: Trujillo – El Brujo – Chiclayo

After breakfast, we will visit the El Brujo archaeological site, then proceed to Chiclayo where you will check into your hotel.

Day 6: Chiclayo – Túcume – Lambayeque – Huaca Rajada

Breakfast will precede a visit to the expansive Tucume site, followed by a trip to the Royal Tombs of the Sipan Museum. After lunch, we will explore Huaca Rajada before transferring you to the airport in Chiclayo for your return flight.

Additional Info

Note that the Royal Tombs of the Sipan Museum and Chan Chan are closed on Monday. Recommended departure days are Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday, or Sunday.
