Tour Details
At your chosen time, we'll meet in Perú Square where House Aliaga is located.
The history of this mansion dates back to Francisco Pizarro, who divided land in Lima among his men. Jerónimo de Aliaga y Ramírez, at 16, became one of the conquerors of Peru, and the Aliaga lineage has lived in this house since its construction.
Aliaga House has witnessed significant moments in Peru's history, serving as a refuge for President Miguel Iglesias and others during the Republic.
During the visit, we will explore the halls of House Aliaga and learn about the family that has resided there for 17 generations. The tour includes the tiled living room, bedrooms with Louis XVI furniture, French carpets, and Japanese vases. The large windows of the diving room offer a view of the courtyard and a 19th-century English fountain.
We will also visit the chapel, which once had walls covered with silver plates looted during the War of Independence.
After just under 3 hours touring the iconic Aliaga House, we will conclude our guided visit.
