Lima Churches Tour
We'll meet at the entrance of the Church of the Nazarenas. The tour will start with an exploration of Lima's churches, reflecting the capital's historical link to Catholicism from the Spanish conquistadores. We will visit the sanctuary and monastery of Las Nazarenas, where the Lord of Miracles is venerated.
Next, we will visit the Sanctuary of Saint Rosa de Lima, where the saint lived in the 16th and 17th centuries, followed by the house of Saint Martín de Porres, another patron saint of Lima. The tour will continue to the Convent of Santo Domingo, home to the remains of Saint Rosa de Lima, Saint Martín de Porres, and Saint John Macias.
Our next stop will be the Plaza de Armas, featuring the Cathedral of Lima, the resting place of Francisco Pizarro. We will also visit the Convent of San Francisco, a significant building in Lima, before concluding at St. Peter's Basilica, a 16th-century architectural treasure.
After 4 hours of exploring the religious history, the tour will conclude at St. Peter's Basilica.
