Discover the two sides of Peru's capital with this Lima Contrasts Tour, exploring its history and curiosities.
Lima Contrasts Tour
The tour begins with hotel pickup at 9 am. We start in the Rímac district, where we will explore old streets and colonial houses to understand the local way of life.
Next, we visit Cerro San Cristóbal, a significant hill rising over 300 meters, home to the Monumental Cross built in 1928. If the sky is clear, views of San Lorenzo Island and the beaches of Chorrillos and La Punta can be enjoyed.
We continue to the historical center of Lima, visiting Plaza de San Martín and Jirón de la Unión, historically significant as the site believed to be where Francisco Pizarro founded Lima.
The tour proceeds to Plaza de Armas, then to the convents of Santo Domingo and San Francisco. After these visits, a break for lunch at a local restaurant is included.
Finally, we will learn to prepare a pisco sour, Lima's iconic drink, before returning to your hotel around 5 pm.
Hotel pickup
The tour includes hotel pickup at locations in Miraflores, Barranco and San Isidro.
