Discover Peru's most famous collection of precious metals with the Gold of Peru Museum Tour, which also features over twenty thousand weapons from various periods.

Gold of Peru Museum Tour

We will pick you up at your hotel at the scheduled time to begin a journey through Peru's ancient artistic legacy. The first stop is the Plaza Mayor, where we will observe the Municipal Palace, the Government Palace, and the Cathedral of Lima, learning about the city's history.

Next, we will visit a traditional restaurant on Jiron Ancash Street for a tasting of the iconic pisco sour. After this experience, we will proceed to the Museum of Gold of Peru and Weapons of the World, which houses more than eight thousand pieces showcasing the customs and beliefs of Peru's pre-Columbian cultures.

During the museum tour, you can view textiles, utensils, mummies, and funerary bundles, and admire the intricate goldsmith work from the pre-Inca cultures of northern Peru, including masks and jewelry made from gold and precious stones.

The museum is also known as Weapons of the World due to its extensive collection of twenty thousand weapons from different eras. Weapon enthusiasts will find a variety of pieces, including war uniforms, armor, and mounts.

The tour concludes 3.5 hours later.
