Itinerary Overview

Our adventure begins 45 minutes prior to the scheduled departure at Piazza di Marina Corta, where we will embark on our boat for a cruise through three remarkable islands of the Aeolian archipelago. After leaving Lipari behind, our first destination is Vulcano.

As we approach Vulcano, we'll navigate around the Vulcanello peninsula, which was formerly an independent island. This area was connected to Vulcano due to a volcanic eruption in the 1600s. We will also pass by the Baia Negra, explore beautiful marine grottoes, including the Piscina di Venere (Pool of Venus), and view the Gelso Lighthouse.

Upon arrival, you’ll have two hours to enjoy at your leisure. If you're interested in relaxation, the therapeutic mud baths at Porto di Levante invite you to unwind. Alternatively, you can venture on a hike along the Gran Cratere della Fossa, where you can observe the striking sulfur fumaroles.

Next, we will reconvene on the boat and journey to Panarea, where you will have another two hours for exploration. This is a fantastic opportunity to savor a meal, take a refreshing swim at the renowned Cala Junco, or visit the remains of the prehistoric settlement at Capo Milazzese.

After your time on Panarea, we’ll set sail for Stromboli. With an additional two hours of free time, we suggest visiting the Church of San Vincenzo. This location offers a stunning panoramic viewpoint overlooking the Tyrrhenian Sea and the iconic islet of Strombolicchio.

As the day concludes, we will board the boat at sunset to witness a breathtaking display as we observe lava flowing from the slopes of Stromboli. This enchanting experience will cap off our day perfectly!

Our day will conclude with our return to Lipari around thirteen and a half hours after departure.

Key Information

Should Stromboli be under a volcanic activity alert, leading to restricted access, we will alter the itinerary for your safety. In such cases, we will extend our stay at Panarea and conduct a scenic tour of Stromboli from the boat. This leg of the journey will allow us to appreciate the grandeur of Strombolicchio and the awe-inspiring Sciara del Fuoco.
