We'll meet at 11 am at Ballysaggartmore Towers and start exploring these enigmatic buildings in County Waterford. These towers have never had a specific function throughout their history.
Our hiking route will take us around these curious towers, located 3 kilometers (1.9 miles) from Lismore. You'll learn about the legends surrounding this unfinished fortress as we explore the surroundings.
As we walk, we'll share various stories, including those from the time of the famine and the life of Arthur Kiely-Ussher, who began building them with the idea of surprising his wife with a grand mansion that was never completed. A route full of intrigue!
Finally, we'll return to the meeting point, concluding the tour at 12 pm.
