On this tour, we'll see the part of the St Declan's Way that passes through Lismore and reconnect with the nature of Waterford.

St Declan's Way Tour

We'll meet at 11 am on West Street in Lismore. The walk will follow the route taken by pilgrims from Cashel to Ardmore.

The tour begins by crossing the stone bridge over the River Blackwater, with views of Lismore Castle. We will learn about this ancient Jacobean Way as we reach the Ballyrafter House Hotel.

At the hotel, we will discover its connections to the fortress and its significance to pilgrims on the St Declan's Way. The walk continues into the Ballyrafter Forest to explore the wildlife of County Waterford.

In the final stretch, we will reach Millennium Park, significant to the town's heritage.

The tour concludes back at the starting point at approximately 12:30 pm.
