St Declan's Way Tour

On this tour, we'll see the part of the St Declan's Way that passes through Lismore. We'll reconnect with the nature of Waterford and walk along the same route as the pilgrims did!

St Declan's Way Tour

We'll meet at 11 am on West Street in Lismore. The tour involves a walk along the part of the St Declan's Way from Cashel to Ardmore.

The tour begins by crossing the stone bridge over the River Blackwater, providing a view of Lismore Castle. We will learn about the ancient Jacobean Way before reaching the Ballyrafter House Hotel.

At the hotel, we will explore the connections between this historic hotel and the fortress, as well as its importance to pilgrims on the St Declan's Way. We will enter the Ballyrafter Forest to observe the wildlife of County Waterford.

In the last segment of the tour, we will visit Millennium Park, a significant feature of the town’s heritage.

The tour concludes with a return to the starting point at approximately 12:30 pm.
