St Declan's Way Tour

On this tour, we'll see the part of the St Declan's Way that passes through Lismore. We'll reconnect with the nature of Waterford and walk along the same route as the pilgrims did!

St Declan's Way Tour

We'll meet at 11 am on West Street in Lismore. Once there, we'll begin a walk along the St Declan's Way, a route followed by pilgrims on their way from Cashel to Ardmore.

The tour starts by crossing the stone bridge over the River Blackwater, providing a view of Lismore Castle. As we learn about this ancient Jacobean Way, we'll reach the Ballyrafter House Hotel.

At the hotel, we'll discover its links with the fortress and its significance to pilgrims on the St Declan's Way. We'll then enter the Ballyrafter Forest to explore the wildlife of County Waterford.

In the final stretch, we'll reach Millennium Park, which is part of the town's heritage.

We'll return to the starting point and finish the tour at approximately 12:30 pm.
