On this tour, we'll see the part of the St Declan's Way that passes through Lismore. We'll reconnect with the nature of Waterford and walk along the same route as the pilgrims did!

St Declan's Way Tour

We'll meet at 11 am on West Street in Lismore. The tour begins with a walk along the St Declan's Way, the route followed by pilgrims from Cashel to Ardmore.

The tour starts by crossing the stone bridge over the River Blackwater, where we'll have a view of Lismore Castle. As we uncover the secrets of this ancient Jacobean Way, we'll reach the Ballyrafter House Hotel.

Here, we'll explore the connections between the hotel and the fortress, along with its significance to the pilgrims on the St Declan's Way. We will then enter the Ballyrafter Forest to observe the wildlife of County Waterford.

In the final stretch, we'll reach Millennium Park, an essential aspect of the town's heritage.

We will return to the starting point, concluding the tour at approximately 12:30 pm.
