On this tour, we'll see the part of the St Declan's Way that passes through Lismore. We'll reconnect with the nature of Waterford and walk along the same route as the pilgrims did!

St Declan's Way Tour

We'll meet at 11 am on West Street in Lismore. The tour begins with a walk along the part of the St Declan's Way that passes through Lismore, a route followed by pilgrims from Cashel to Ardmore.

The tour starts by crossing the stone bridge over the River Blackwater, where we will have a view of Lismore Castle. As we explore the secrets of this ancient Jacobean Way, we will reach the Ballyrafter House Hotel.

We will discover the connections between the hotel and the fortress and its significance for pilgrims on the St Declan's Way. The walk continues into the Ballyrafter Forest to explore the wildlife of County Waterford.

In the final stretch, we will arrive at Millennium Park, an important part of the town's heritage. We will return to the starting point to conclude the tour along the St Declan's Way at approximately 12:30 pm.
