Description
Meeting at the scheduled time at the Praça Marquês de Pombal, we will head north to the town of Obidos, recognized as the most beautiful medieval town in all of Portugal.
The guided tour of Obidos begins at the Porta da Vila tower. After passing under its arch, we will enter the old town, characterized by scenic cobblestone streets that highlight its medieval significance.
During our walk, we will observe the outline of the walls and the castle of Obidos, a 12th-century fortress listed among the Seven Wonders of Portugal. We will also stop at the aqueduct, a notable engineering feat.
Our tour continues along the Rua Dereita, where you will have a free hour for lunch. Popular recommendations include a traditional stew known as ensopado de enguias.
After lunch, we will travel north to the coastal town of Nazare, a prominent surfing destination in Portugal. You will have approximately an hour of free time to explore and enjoy the views from the Mirador de Subero.
Finally, we return from Nazare to the meeting point in Lisbon, completing a total of 8 hours of sightseeing.
