Explore the Great Ocean Road in Southeast Australia on this tour, ending with a sunset at Twelve Apostles Beach.
Tour Details
The journey begins with a pickup from your Melbourne hotel. Indigenous people have inhabited this area for 40,000 years, and we will share insights about this natural paradise. You will enjoy views of Melbourne and Port Phillip Bay while crossing the Westgate Bridge, Australia's longest bridge. Our first stop is Anglesea, where a stroll along the Anglesea River is offered.
We will continue along the lakes of the Great Ocean Road to Kennett River, allowing time for lunch. Afterward, we will explore eucalyptus forests, home to koalas, before traveling through the Great Otway National Park. This leads us to the Shipwreck Coast and the rock formations of Port Campbell National Park, where we will visit Loch Ard Gorge and discuss the story of a 19th-century shipwreck.
The highlight of the excursion is the sunset at Twelve Apostles Beach, where limestone formations are illuminated by the setting sun. Before returning to Melbourne, there will be a dinner stop in Colac at a local restaurant. The day lasts 12 to 13 hours, after which you will be returned to your hotel.
