Explore the Great Ocean Road in Southeast Australia on this tour, ending with a sunset at the Twelve Apostles Beach.
Tour Details
The journey begins with hotel pickup in Melbourne. Indigenous people have inhabited this area for 40,000 years, and insights into this natural paradise will be shared throughout the tour.
As we depart, enjoy views of the city and Port Phillip Bay while crossing the Westgate, Australia's longest bridge. Our first stop is the town of Anglesea, where we'll stroll along the Anglesea River.
The route continues along the lakes of the Great Ocean Road to Kennett River, where you’ll have time for lunch.
After lunch, explore eucalyptus-filled forests, a habitat for koalas. The tour then winds through the Great Otway National Park, reaching the Shipwreck Coast and the rock formations of Port Campbell National Park.
Inside the park, visit Loch Ard Gorge and learn about a 19th-century shipwreck and its survivors.
The highlight of the excursion is witnessing the sunset at Twelve Apostles Beach. The sunset illuminates the limestone formations beautifully.
Before returning to Melbourne, we'll stop for dinner in Colac at a local restaurant. The day lasts 12 to 13 hours before returning you to your hotel.
