Are you ready to leave the hustle and bustle of the city behind for an authentic Australian road trip? Embark on a journey along the Great Ocean Road, where breathtaking landscapes and the secrets of south-eastern Australia await you.

Tour Details

Your adventure begins with a pickup from your Melbourne hotel, as we set off along the Great Ocean Road, recognized as an Australian National Heritage site. Prepare to be captivated by one of the world’s most picturesque coastal routes, showcasing roaring surf, expansive beaches, rugged cliffs, and dramatic vistas.

Our first stop will be Torquay Beach, a renowned surfing destination where you can soak in the invigorating sea breeze. Next, we’ll visit the Role House, notable for being the most photographed residence along the Great Ocean Road. Built on a single concrete column and sitting 40 metres (130 feet) above the ground, its distinctive design is undoubtedly worthy of a photo op.

As we continue our journey, a photo opportunity at the Great Ocean Road sign is essential for all adventurers. We will then find a location where you can observe koalas and colourful parrots in their natural habitat, followed by a visit to Cape Patton, a prime viewing point along the route—don’t forget your camera!

A lunch break in the charming town of Apollo Bay will allow you to indulge in local cuisine (at your own expense). Take your time to enjoy a meal at a café, explore the shops, or even take a refreshing swim in the ocean.

After lunch, we’ll explore the ancient rainforest of the Great Otway National Park. Here, you’ll encounter a vibrant array of parrots, towering eucalyptus trees, and some of the tallest hardwood trees in the world.

The journey continues to Port Campbell National Park, where the iconic Twelve Apostles await. These astounding limestone formations are remarkable for their size and beauty, and you’ll learn about their formation and the story of the eight that remain. Weather permitting, you may venture down Gibson Steps for a closer look from the beach.

Next, we’ll visit Loch Ard Gorge, a stunning beach bordered by lush wilderness and steeped in maritime history—this area is famously known as the Shipwreck Coast. Here, you can also admire the impressive Razorback and Island Archway, two spectacular rock formations crafted from limestone and sandstone.

After an incredible day spent exploring the Great Ocean Road, we’ll make our way back to your hotel in Melbourne, with a stop for dinner at one of the local restaurants in Colac (at your own expense). Following a full day of 13 hours, we will bid you farewell at your hotel. We hope to see you again soon!
