Day Trip to Lucca + Pisa

On this trip from Livorno to Lucca and Pisa, we will explore a medieval town with significant historical monuments, including the Guinigi Palace, the Basilica of San Frediano, and the Amphitheater Square.

Day Trip Details

We will meet at via Claudio Cogorano and board a bus to leave Livorno for two Tuscan cities.

After one hour, we will arrive in Lucca and enjoy an escorted walking tour through the city to learn about its history and admire its main monuments.

The tour will include the exterior visit of the Basilica of San Frediano and the tower of Palazzo Guinigi, among other landmarks. We will discuss the gladiator fights at Amphitheater Square and share stories about the renowned composer Giacomo Puccini.

After the walking tour, there will be approximately two hours of free time for lunch and further exploration.

After three hours in Lucca, we will travel approximately 40 minutes to Pisa. You will be dropped off about a 15-minute walk from the Piazza dei Miracoli, a World Heritage Site.

You will have around one hour and 45 minutes to see the Leaning Tower of Pisa, the Cathedral, and the Baptistery.

After a total of 7 hours of sightseeing, we will return to the starting point.
