Day Trip to Lucca + Pisa

On this trip from Livorno to Lucca and Pisa, we'll explore a medieval town with significant historical monuments, including the Guinigi Palace, Basilica of San Frediano, and Amphitheater Square.

Day Trip Details

At the scheduled time, we will meet in via Claudio Cogorano and board a bus to travel from Livorno to Lucca.

After one hour, we will reach the historic center of Lucca for an escorted walking tour of the city, highlighting its main monuments.

The tour includes views of the Basilica of San Frediano and the Palazzo Guinigi tower, along with Amphitheater Square, where gladiator fights once occurred. We will share stories about the city, including details about composer Giacomo Puccini.

Following the walking tour, you'll have approximately two hours for lunch and further exploration. Remember your camera.

After three hours in Lucca, we will return to the bus for a 40-minute drive to Pisa. You will be dropped off a 15-minute walk from the Piazza dei Miracoli, a World Heritage Site.

You will have around one hour and 45 minutes to visit the Leaning Tower of Pisa, the Cathedral, and the Baptistery.

After 7 hours of sightseeing, we will return to the starting point.
