With this tour from Llandudno you'll discover the legendary past of Conwy, Dolbadarn and Caernarfon, three magnificent castles in Wales.
Snowdonia & Welsh Castles Tour
The tour starts at Llandudno Railway Station. We will depart for the Great Orme headland, enjoying views of Anglesey Island and the Irish Sea. The first stop is Conwy Castle, where we will learn about King Edward I's conquest in the 13th century.
After exploring the castle, we will walk through Conwy's historic centre and visit unique sites including the Elizabethan townhouse of Plas Mawr and the smallest house in Britain.
Next, we will explore Snowdonia National Park and admire the views of the Nant Ffrancon valley. We will also stop at Llyn Ogwen and Llyn Mymbyr lakes to appreciate the reflections of the mountains.
Afterward, we will proceed to Llanberis for one hour of free time for lunch. Post-lunch, we will visit the National Slate Museum, which highlights the slate industry's significance in Wales.
The tour concludes with a visit to the Dolbadarn Castle ruins and then to Caernarfon Castle. Finally, we will return to Llandudno after a total of 9 hours.
