With this tour from Llandudno, you will explore the legendary history of Conwy, Dolbadarn, and Caernarfon, three of the most remarkable castles in Wales, taking a journey back to the Middle Ages.

Snowdonia & Welsh Castles Tour

This North Wales tour begins at Llandudno Railway Station. At the scheduled time, we will depart for the Great Orme headland, where stunning views of Anglesey Island and the Irish Sea await us. Our first major stop will be the impressive Conwy Castle. Here, you will discover the adventures of King Edward I of England during his conquest of Wales in the 13th century.

After thoroughly exploring the castle's rooms, a walk through Conwy's historic centre will follow. You'll visit unique sites like the Elizabethan townhouse of Plas Mawr and see the smallest house in Britain, learning about the intriguing history of its diminutive size.

Next, we’ll journey into the lush landscapes of Snowdonia National Park. This protected natural area is renowned for its stunning scenery, including the Nant Ffrancon valley. We will also pause at the picturesque Llyn Ogwen and Llyn Mymbyr lakes to admire the mountains and valleys reflected in their serene waters.

Still under the spell of Snowdonia's natural beauty, we will proceed to Llanberis, where you will have one hour of free time for lunch. Following lunch, the visit to the National Slate Museum will reveal the significance of the slate industry in Wales' economic history.

The last part of our Llanberis visit will include a stop at the ruins of Dolbadarn Castle to uncover its captivating past. Finally, we will make our way to Caernarfon, where we will dive into its secrets and stories.

At the conclusion of this extraordinary trip, we will return to Llandudno, with an estimated total duration of 9 hours.
