Cotopaxi Volcano Excursion

We'll pick you up at your hotel in Baños de Agua Santa between 7 and 8 am and depart towards Cotopaxi province. Along the way, views of the surrounding volcanoes will be visible, including Chimborazo, Los Altares, Tungurahua, Illinizas, and Ruminahui.

After a two-and-a-half-hour drive, we'll arrive at Cotopaxi National Park to begin our ascent. The Cotopaxi volcano is the most active volcano in Ecuador and one of the highest active volcanoes globally.

We will visit the Cotopaxi Museum to learn about its eruptions and the local flora and fauna. We will then proceed to Limpiopungo Lagoon, offering opportunities for photography.

From the lagoon, we will follow a trail to one of the park's refuges for a break and lunch. Afterward, we will ascend to 5,000 meters, the highest point of our tour, marking the start of the glacier on the volcano.

Following our exploration, we will descend to the base of Cotopaxi. The excursion will conclude with our return to your hotel, expected by 4 pm.
